Choosing someone to do your wedding makeup is a big decision. Lucy is such a professional but so friendly at the same time. The time she gave me for my makeup trial beforehand was just as important as on the day because I was relaxed knowing that she knew the colours and products that suited me best, and on a wonderful but stressful morning she made it an enjoyable event. My makeup was flawless and I received so many compliments. She was also very welcoming towards my wedding party which meant a lot to me. Not only did she apply my makeup but she was there right up until I got into my dress to make sure all parts of my skin that was showing was perfect and if I needed any help with anything.My photos turned out to be amazing and the photographer commented that the make up was beautiful and helped create the best photos. As a result after my wedding many of my friends and family members who were getting married booked Lucy to do their own wedding day makeup! I have, and will continue to recommend Lucy to all my family and friends.

I’m not a girly girl and I found the whole getting married, dress, hair, make up very daunting and stressful! From the initial trial Lucy made me feel at ease and she totally nailed the look I wanted so I knew she was the one! On my wedding day, she was so organised. Had an itinerary for me and the bridesmaids, kept us in check yet we all had a giggle. Everything went so smoothly! All of my bridesmaids looked so beautiful and more importantly I felt like a princess! I really can’t thank her enough!

I had a make-up trial with Lucy 2 weeks before the wedding and I walked out of the salon with a huge smile and tears in my eyes…..my mum was in floods of happy tears too. It was such a lovely experience just before the wedding and we’ll remember it forever. Much deserved time away from wedding planning to be polished and pampered. It gave me peace of mind that on the Big Day I had one less thing to worry about. I felt so happy that Lucy had created such a beautiful look for me. It was very natural, but made my features stand out perfectly in the photos. I felt like myself but a more glamorous version…..the best I could possibly imagine ever looking. The Mac makeup felt light on my skin and I was confident with Lucy’s amazing skills it wouldn’t smudge or slide off my face. I didn’t have panda eyes! This was a big achievement, as I knew there would be lots of tears throughout the day. It stayed in place perfectly from morning until night. I didn’t want to take it off! I will have to find an excuse to be pampered again soon! Loved every minute.

She knew what I exactly wanted and gave great advice when it came to products to use in the lead up to the wedding etc. I cannot recommend her enough.

She uses quality Mac products so it does not feel like you have anything on your face. All 4 of us wanted similar make up however Lucy made us all look individual. On the day of the wedding, Lucy was such a calming influence during a very stressful time. She completed our make up on time and she didn’t leave until just before we did to ensure that we were happy and to touch our makeup up. The word ‘happy’ does not describe how elated we actually were with it. The makeup stayed on all day and all night, the lashes even stayed on the day after the wedding. It was a pretty warm day however the makeup did not slip, go orange or patchy. I would honestly recommend Lucy to any bride to be if they are looking for amazing make up on their big day.

I had mine and my bridesmaids make_up done on my wedding day April 14th 2018. Lucy was at mine from the morning till right before i left in the wedding car Lucy was absolutely Amazing she helped me with my dress and all the added extras too she really was amazing My makeup was stunning and so flawless same with my bridesmaids makeup lasting all day and even the next morning!! I would just like to say a massive thank you to Lucy, Andrea and Lisa at Ministry of Hair for looking after me, my mum and my three bridesmaids on the morning of my wedding 16th August 2014.

Lucy and Andrea did an amazing job on my bridal make-up and hair. I had a make-up trial with Lucy 2 weeks before the wedding and I walked out of the salon with a huge smile and tears in my eyes…..my mum was in floods of happy tears too. It was such a lovely experience just before the wedding and we’ll remember it forever. Much deserved time away from wedding planning to be polished and pampered. It gave me peace of mind that on the Big Day I had one less thing to worry about. I could relax and enjoy being pampered with my mum and bridesmaids after a lot of hard work decorating the barn at Michelham Priory the previous day.

I felt so happy that Lucy had created such a beautiful look for me. It was very natural, but made my features stand out perfectly in the photos. I felt like myself but a more glamorous version…..the best I could possibly imagine ever looking. It gave me a big confidence boost. I wanted to feel comfortable and confident and I also wanted my husband to recognise me walking down the isle.

The Mac make-up felt light on my skin and I was confident with Lucy’s amazing skills it wouldn’t smudge or slide off my face. I didn’t have panda eyes! This was a big achievement, as I knew there would be lots of tears throughout the day. It stayed in place perfectly from morning until night. I didn’t want to take it off!

Andrea also did a fantastic job with my hair and again I cried when I looked in the mirror. I loved the style she gave me and it stayed in place perfectly all day – feeling very secure and comfortable. Again, I didn’t want to take my hair down at the end of the night. It was fantastic knowing that I could communicate my ideas with the girls at the salon via Pinterest mood boards and they were happy to answer any questions.

The atmosphere in the salon was perfect. I felt calm and relaxed with everyone in high spirits around me. Retro wedding tunes were playing and everyone was so lovely and helpful. Lisa did a fantastic job styling my bridesmaid’s hair. I know the girls loved their hair and it was exactly the style I was hoping Lisa would achieve. They all looked stunning. Our hair and make up surpassed any expectations. The girls are so professional and talented. We all received so many compliments on the day and I would have no hesitation in recommending the team at Ministry of Hair to family and friends.

I will have to find an excuse to be pampered again soon! Loved every minute – Thank you all!!! xxx
